While forest professionals continue to insist excess fuels are responsible for the fires, this is not what the fire scientists say. Dryness from perpetual climate change drought has created fuels so dry that fires are burning 400 degrees hotter, winds are greater, fire ignition is greater because of higher temperatures and lower humidity, nighttime fire is persisting because of lower nighttime humidity, and fire indexes are at unprecedented levels.
